Here are a few pics that can give you an idea about my day to day experiences.
Dive into my Day
An average day for me usually starts off at 8.00 A:M and my first class starts at 9:30. Once I get ready, I head out of my dorm around 9 ish’ and head over to Chick Fi’l A and order a bacon, egg, and cheese bisquit. Once I do get to class I’m taking down notes and typing in key points I notice throughout my lecture. The class is fine arts so it’s pretty easy.
Afterwards, I have another class in 10 minutes, Mass Communication, so I hurry on up to Alkek Library and try and get a good spot in class. The class itself is a huge lecture room, and I like to sit in the back corner to get a nice view of it all. The thing about these classes is that they aren’t necessarily hard and I am interested in them so they don’t feel like burdens like how classes usually feel like.
Then once class is over, I go over to Harris Dining hall because it’s the closest dining hall to my dorm, Castro hall. The food ain’t all that but it’s enough to get me through my days. I usually go with the pizza or ground beef with white rice. EVERY single time I’m at Harris I always see someone I know which is probably the best part about that place.
Once I’m done eating I like to find a good spot somewhere around campus to work on homework and study, usually somewhere close to my dorm, but it’s gotta be outside. If it’s a really nice spot or it’s private I’ll meditate or just ponder. Sometimes doing absolutely nothing is my favorite thing to do. Not scrolling, not overthinking, not studying, just existing.
At the end of the day I like to take time to myself and forget about it all, whether I go out with friends or I hang out with my parents, I always make it a good time. Sewell Park is one of my favorite places to go, I either go float the river or just sit in the sun.
